Teen Documentary

A group of teenagers in Fresno, CA, who are part of a group called the Sunnyside Teen Council, have produced a short documentary film about the popularity of MySpace among young people.

The film attempts to answer a common question asked by many parents nowadays... Why is my kid so into MySpace?

The documentary is a little less than 10 minutes long and interviews people at the Sunnyside Regional Library about their MySpace use and offers results of a survey the teens did of 100 people, 60 of whom have a MySpace page, and 40 who do not.

The teens started work on their film in August by interviewing people at the library. The California Council for the Humanities funded the project, giving the students/filmmakers approximately $2,500 for video & editing equipment.

The filmakers from the Sunnyside Teen Council are hoping that this film will get parents and teens talking and communicating about MySpace.
