SonicWALL Inc., introduces protection against the nasty MySpace.com worm that has been exploiting the embedded Javascript feature of QuickTime MOV files on the site.
This bogus QuickTime video file (called the QSpace worm), when played, will change your profile, embed itself and create links to malicious web sites. And if any MySpace users even visits a profile that has been infected, their own profile will become infected.
According to Huliq.com, SonicWALL has issued the signatures QSpace (Worm), QSpace.2 (Worm) and QSpace#mov (Worm) for both the JavaScript and Quicktime MOV components of the worm. They have also developed unique technologies to deliver zero day gateway anti-virus, anti-spyware and intrusion prevention signatures to its subscribers on a continual basis, allowing them to defend against new and existing Internet attacks and exploits such as phishing, viruses, DHA or DoS attacks and more.
