What you say on your MySpace page could be used against you in a court of law. Just ask Marco Lee of Colorado Springs, CO, accused of the murder of Officer Ken Jordan.
Lee's MySpace page (which has been frozen by the authorities as evidence) had pictures of him holding guns and alcohol, videos of him firing rifles and said things like, "I love kicking back drinkin' and going to the firing range."
Prosecutors may use his MySpace page against him in a criminal trial and/or sentencing if a judge deems it as relevant and then prosecutors would have to prove it was actually posted by Lee.
According to a Colorado Springs defense attorney, Patrick Mika, internet content can effect a case. He said Lee's MySpace profile can be used evidence against him depending if it "can show a particular motive, intent, opportunity, preparation".
