According to chief security officer at MySpace, Hemanshu Nigam, MySpace has asked Apple to update its QuickTime media player software so it can't be used in attacks on MySpace.
Nigam said in an email statement today, "When we learned about an issue that exploits a feature in QuickTime and unfortunately targets MySpace users, we immediately contacted Apple to engineer a fix".
Apple says it has a temporary fix for the problem, but it will be up to MySpace to offer it to users.
Let's hope they all get on the same page and get this thing worked out soon! Me no like computer worms. :o(
